UPC hat im Herbst 2010 seine Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen (AGB) umfassend geändert. Der Verein für Konsumenteninformation (VKI) prüfte im Auftrag des Konsumentenschutzministeriums die Klauseln von UPC und mahnte letzlich 24 Klauseln als gesetzwidrig ab.
